China Mobile Moves Wireless Music In House

China Mobile plans to centralize management of its wireless music business and has announced that its wireless music platform 12530.com will take charge of introducing and distributing all color ringback tones (CRBT) and regionally customized content beginning January 1, 2010.


China Mobile will complete the transition between July 1 and December 31, 2009. As of May 2009, China Mobile's music center had 1.1 million songs, including 230,000 in Chinese.
