China Mobile Hits 746,000 3G Users

China Mobile had 746,000 users for its 3G network in May 2009, compared to 488.1 million total subscribers by the end of May, according to a June 23 company filing to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). TD-SCDMA users accounted for 2.4% of China Mobile's new users added between January and May.

The average traffic for China Mobile's TD-SCDMA users is 2.5 times that of the company's 2G users. To date, China Mobile has accumulated a total of 860,000 TD-SCDMA users.
