MII Approves More TD-SCDMA Manufacturers

Chinese electronics maker Amoi and TCL Group subsidiary TCL Communications have won TD-SCDMA manufacturing licenses in the Ministry of Industry and Information's (MII) third round of licensing, the TD-SCDMA alliance. This round, four handsets including the Amoi T5 and TCL U398 along with Huawei's S330 and ET608 models were approved. China currently has 13 licensed TD-SCDMA manufacturers working on 25 approved handsets.
