Shanghai Begins 3G Trials

Shanghai has started trial operation of its 3G network, reports Shanghai Youth Daily. According to the report, ZTE TD-SCDMA handset general manager Luo Zhongsheng sent out the company's new year's SMS greeting over the TD-SCDMA network. TD-SCDMA network construction has been completed in nine cities: Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai Tianjin, Qinhuangdao, Qingdao, Xiamen, Shenyang, and Baoding.
