China Mobile announced on December 20 that it added 6.5 million new mobile service users in November to reach a total of 362.8 million. China Mobile added 6.079 million prepaid users and 438,000 contract users in November.
China Unicom's number of GSM users increased by 1.095 million in November to reach 118.149 million in total; CDMA user number increased by 302,000 in November for a total of 40.77 million.
China Netcom announced that its number of fixed-line phone users was 113.348 million in November, decreased by 760,900 from the previous month. China Netcom added 481,700 new broadband subscribers in November for a total of 19.306 million subscribers.
China Telecom's number of fixed-line phone subscribers decreased by 750,000 in December for a total of 221.81 million. The company's number of broadband subscribers was 35.05 million for the month, increased by 610,000 month-on-month.
