Facebook To Enter China In December

US social networking company Facebook plans to enter China in December through an acquisition. According to the insider, Facebook originally planned to simply translate its existing site into other languages, but now plans to build a separate website in China. News Corp.'s Myspace launched its Chinese site MySpace.cn through a partnership with IDG Technology Venture Investment and China Broadband Capital Partners (CBC). There was a rumor on October 26 that a Facebook acquisition offer of US$85 million was rejected by Chinese college student social networking service (SNS) site Zhanzuo.com.
